Today's parade in Alexandria, Virginia is billed as the largest parade in the country celebrating Washington's Birthday.

Movies: Oscar Nominees Around the Globe

The Academy Awards are always watched worldwide, but there's a strong international flavor to this year's nominees as well. Not only do England and Australia have their usual contenders, but also South Africa (Charlize Theron -"Monster"), New Zealand (Keisha Castle-Hughes - "Whale Rider"), West Africa (Djimon Hounsou - "In America"), Japan (Ken Watanabe - "The Last Samurai"), and several other countries not usually represented in the major Oscar categories. Wisconsin Primary

Presidential primary elections are being held in Wisconsin today.

Blake Trial

Lawyers involved in the trial of actor Robert Blake will begin questioning prospective jurors today in Los Angeles, California. Blake is accused of killing his wife Bonny Lee Bakley, who was found shot to death on May 4, 2001.

Spector Hearing

A hearing for music producer Phil Spector is scheduled today in Alhambra, California. Spector is charged with the murder of actress Lana Clarkson. She was found shot to death last February in the foyer of Spector's hilltop castle.

Children Slain

The trial of Deanna Laney, the East Texas housewife accused of stoning her two young sons to death and severely injuring another is scheduled to begin today in Tyler, Texas. She's been jailed since the May 2003 bludgeoning deaths of 8 year-old Joshua and 6-year-old Luke.

Sentencing is scheduled in South Euclid, Ohio for Elecia Battle, who pleaded no contest to charges of lying on a police report. She admitted to falsely claiming that she lost a winning $162 million Mega Millions lottery ticket.

A surprising new survey from America Online shows a teenage battle of the sexes, a "digital divide" where girls use the Internet to communicate and boys use the Internet to find information. And more surprising, almost 3/4 of all teenagers skip the libraries and use the web as a schoolwork resource.
