Anonymous: It's of note that it's not just CNN's 24th anniversary... it's Cable News' birthday.

Anonymous: CNN lead the way for 24 hour cable news some 24 years ago. Today, amongst competition and "peer pressure" CNN still delivers on it's goal of being a news network. CNN has "been there" when no other news outlet has and brought home many life changing events "live" into the living rooms of folks all across the globe. There is not another news organization like it. CNN must continue to work hard to prove it's goal is to deliver news. PERIOD.

Michelle: CNN did not evolve--it devolved. It went from being a 24-hour news channel to a "mostly news" channel that isn't afraid to throw in the occasional Larry King Live or other scripted fare. And, they threw out their heart and soul when Bernard Shaw left.

Keith: Started as a Pioneer in the business and is now getting beat like a red headed step child by FOXNEWS. It happens to the best of them when compitetion enters the market and beats them at their own game. In this case, delivering what the majority of the market wants to see.

Kate: I long for the Ted Turner days when news was just plain old news and entertainment had it's own 30 minute segment once a day with Lauren Sydney and Bill Tush. Now CNN is 24/7 entertainment sprinkled with biased "news reporting". Blech!
