FOX's Fair & Balanced Watch: Bashing the W.H. Press Corps
Linda Vester unveiled a new feature on DaySide yesterday afternoon. It's called "F&B; Watch," short for fair and balanced, of course. "Each Friday you get to grade the press -- are we fine, or out of line?," she introed, then showed a clip from John Roberts of CBS News doing an excellent job demanding an answer from Scott McClellan. Sigh...another e-mail accusing me of being biased. Apparently I'm too negative about CNN, now. So here's a negative FOX one. A CJR interview with Ken Auletta has some great comments about FOX: "Fox News has had a decided impact on its cable competitors. Its impact on journalism in general is less clear. I believe that by harping on what they allege is a liberal bias in the press, Fox News has made other journalists more conscious of subliminal biases, which is a good thing.
